The countdown to Fashion’s Night Out is down to the hours!
This Thursday, New York City will be transformed into an open-air fashion party stretching north, south, east and west of the city.
Celebrating its third year in the NYC streets, the Anna Wintour founded event is growing exponentially each year and 2011’s promises to bigger and better than ever!
FNO 2010 attendees saw a duet between designer Michael Kors and Tony winner Idina Menzel. This year’s stylish festivities are sure to topple all prior fashion week kick off celebrations.
From a Barbie fashion scavenger hunt, to a Gucci dance party, we have high hopes for the 2011 FNO!
Here’s a taste:
Barbie’s Ultimate Fashion Hunt
Most little girls discovered their love for fashion while collecting clothes cut to fit an 11.5 inch plastic body. Barbie’s Ultimate Fashion Hunt on FNO will help Barbie lovers re-live the excitement associated with the quest for the perfect pink plastic pumps. Barbie’s FNO scavenger hunt will send participants on a nostalgic probe of the city to track down Barbie’s fab fall looks at her favorite designer stores. The winner of the hunt will be entered for a chance to win a life sized fall fashion outfit.

Patricia Field is combining her FNO festivities with a little bit of art and vodka. How can she go wrong? The Sex and the City stylist will be hosting a party at her boutique and an Art Gallery Installation at Veselka, to celebrate the eatery’s opening in the neighborhood. The events will be taking place simultaneously and with the whole evening curated by Fields, we are looking forward to a fashion savvy soirée complete with vodka swirling.
The Patricia Field store is located at 302 Bowery New York, NY 10012.
Solange at Lord and Taylor
After her inflatable banana battle with the Miami Beach Police, we could not stand to miss Solange’s debut DJ performance since the event. Knowles will be spinning records and pumping the bass at the 39th street Lord & Taylor during FNO.
Lord and Taylor is located at 424 Fifth Avenue New York, NY 10018.
DJ Pauly D at DASH
We will never be Kim-Kardashianed-out, but we must admit, the real star of FNO at the DASH store is not the sibling trio, it’s the fist pumping DJ Pauly D. The Jersey Shore cast member is known for his indestructible-do, but we are curious to learn a little about his DJ skills that get all the ladies to the smush room. The Rhode Island native is so confidant in his craft that he waived his normal $40,000 rate for the Kardashians as a wedding gift to Kim.
The DASH store is located it 119 Spring Street in SoHo.
Rachel Roy at Macy’s
The NBA is still on lockout, but FNO is giving you the opportunity to see a more stylish side to one of your favorite Knickerbockers, Amar’e Stoudemire. Rachel Roy will be at Macy’s Herald Square from 6-8 p.m. with a special guest to debut her new collaborative collection with the Knick. We can’t help but guess that the unnamed guest is Stoudemire and we are crossing fingers for a Ciara sighting as well.
Macy’s Herald Square is located at 151 West 34th Street New York NY 10001.
Gucci Guilty Dance Party
Gucci is known for many things, but hosting a Guilty dance party is not one of them …That is, until now. The dance party will be DJed by LiLo’s famed DJ lady-friend, Samantha Ronson, to promote the Gucci Guilty for Men. Will Kreyshawn be on her music queue? We can’t wait to see.
Macy’s Herald Square is located at 151 West 34th Street, New York, NY.
