Shots rang out last night at the popular New York City nightclub Juliet Supper Club, where NBA and NFL superstars are known to hang out.
According to police, five people were shot and sadly a 43-year-old man was hit once in the chest and once in the back. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he died a short time later.
Authorities believe the gunman, dressed in a white leather jacket, started spraying bullets shortly before 2:30 a.m. inside the NY hotspot.
Coincidentally, N.Y. Giants star wide reciever Victor Cruz was at the club celebrating his birthday with some pals when the gunfire erupted, although he was not involved in the incident.
This isn’t the first time the Juliet Club has been hit with violence. This latest shooting comes two months after a Morningside Heights man was found stabbed to death outside the doors of the Chelsea hotspot.
Police were still hunting for the gunman in Tuesday’s shooting and it’s not clear what sparked the gunplay.
A witness who goes under the Twitter handle “Sexccladi” tweeted while the shooting was going down:
