Somewhere in the world, Macklemore is still smiling.

Last night, the Seattle Seahawks took home the Super Bowl XLVIII trophy for the first time in franchise history, beating out the Denver Broncos. The game ended with a score of 43-8, the Seahawks dominating from start to finish – thanks especially to the team’s league-best defense.

Seahawks standouts included quarterback Russell Wilson, cornerback Richard Sherman, who left the game early due to an ankle injury, and coach Pete Carroll, who started with the team four years ago.

“It’s not embarrassing at all, I would never use that word,” Manning said after the game. “The word ’embarrassing’ is an insulting word, to tell you the truth.”

Richard Sherman also commended the player, calling him a future Hall Of Fame member:

Good to still see classy sportsmanship in football these days. What’s your take on the game?
