Manifest Justice

It’s always a great time when art and artists come together for the sole purpose of serving the community.

On Friday, May 1st, Manifest Justice, a large-scale pop-up art exhibition and community organizing event, will open in Los Angeles’ historic Baldwin Hills Theatre Building.

Manifest Justice

The cultural covering exhibition, which will take place through Sunday, May 10th, will join artists and activists whose work addresses issues of justice; including topics like incessant violence in the streets and economic insecurity, with support from Art for Amnesty and the California EndowmentSons & Brothers initiative.

Manifest Justice

The event will celebrate diversity and creativity and will showcase over 200 pieces of art from more than 150 artists, along with 25+ community events designed to ignite dialogue and inspire new ideas about healthy communities, social justice, human rights, and more.

Robert K. Ross, CEO of the California Endowment, released a statement:

In the midst of this important moment around race in America, art is essential in illuminating our challenges and opportunities. It will take all of us—in business, government, nonprofits, and the arts—to see all of our young people grow up to be healthy and productive individuals. Our diversity is our greatest strength.”

Manifest: Justice takes place from May 1 through May 10th at the Baldwin Hills Theatre. Come out and support the cause. Check out a few more pieces from the upcoming exhibit below.
