He’s woke AF
In his few short years of being famous, 21 has done and said many things that many wouldn’t expect from a young rapper with tattoos on his face. He speaks on everything from racist and family life to spirituality in his music and interviews. The 24-year old once revealed that he studies Yoruba culture, specifically the Ifa worship. In an interview with the Breakfast Club back in 2013, he stated, “I always said that (I’m here for a reason), even when I was in the hospital, I used to say that… I’m spiritual, I’m Ifá, my religion is Ifá… It’s a Nigerian religion.”
He also told The Fader, “I’m African-American. I’d rather follow an African religion. That’s my heritage.” Gotta love him.
