Love & Basketball is a classic, but it turns out the lead actress in the film – Sanaa Lathan – didn’t enjoy creating it as much as we’ve enjoyed watching it.
In a new interview with CBS, Sanaa said of her experience…
“The hardest challenge was getting the job… I had a dance background, but I had never picked up a basketball. [Director] Gina and the producers really wanted a basketball player that could act, as opposed to an actress they could teach to play basketball.”
Sanaa ended up demanding a basketball coach. She continued, “I was miserable. I can laugh about it now. I got the job and I think Gina finally got to the point where she had to hire somebody. It’s almost like she hired me because she couldn’t find somebody else. There wasn’t a lot of joy and there wasn’t a lot of trust in me. It was her baby and it was her first time directing. It was a big deal for her and nobody knows me then really. She gets to the point where she makes this decision with me, but I felt like the default.”
See what else she had to say about filming one of our favorite movies up top – she admits there was a lot of “crying behind the scenes.”
Jennifer Aniston hit up The Ellen DeGeneres Show and while there, she told the famed talk show host that a Friends reunion is definitely possible. “Listen, I told you this. I would do it… the girls would do it, and the boys would do it, I’m sure,” Jennifer said during her chat with Ellen. “Listen, anything can happen.” Watch up top.
America’s Got Talent auditions got a little weird this week, as judge Gabrielle Union participated in a contestant’s very creepy magic trick.
Blindfolded as magician Nicholas Wallace held a caucasian doll, the actress mysteriously moved her arms when Wallace moved the figurine’s arms. Obviously, he was voted into the following round. See for yourself up above… it was weird as all hell.
